With over 30 years of practice experience, Dr. Naqvi is triple board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. With over three decades of experience in academic psychiatry and clinical leadership, he currently oversees outpatient services at Confidante Psychiatry Services and Massachusetts Psychiatry Services.
Dr. Naqvi held significant academic appointments, including over ten years as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and as an Assistant Professor at UMass Medical School, where he also co-directed and served as a preceptor in addiction psychiatry education. His clinical expertise spans inpatient Psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, and integrated consult-liaison psychiatry in various medical, surgical, and critical care settings.
His publications include research on opioid dependence and chronic pain, and he contributed to national guidelines on benzodiazepine use.
